My buddy and I had a discussion about a barrel that could be scratch from improper cleaning. Since a the patch goes from the breech to muzzle, there will always be some kind of scratching done to the barrel just a few inches after the bore breech because I don't think anyone can perfectly align the cleaning tool straight down the middle of the barrel.
Does scratching just the 1st few inches of the barrel effect the rifle much since the bullet still have to travel a large distance down the pipe? |
