I am in the market for an AR again. I had one, but I sold it...and it seems BRD isn't easy to shake. So, in a great "if you can't beat 'em join 'em" way...I'm getting another black rifle, or two.
First, I want an SBR and a longer-barreled rifle. (probably 12.5"-12" for the SBR and 20" for the other) I also want to build them. For uppers, I am looking at Larue and Noveske...and haven't even begun to look at lowers yet. So, somebody please provide some direction, or what works for them and what, well, hasn't so much. Thanks! |
| both Larue and Noveske have lowers that match their uppers so i would go with the lower that matched the upper i bought. Noveske uses forged lowers while Larue uses billit lowers if that matters to you. right now you can get a stripped Larue lower for 250.00 if you buy an upper from them but stripped Noveske lowers are very hard to get right now (since Noveske is not taking orders for stripped lowers at this time) and have sold for as much as 700.00 + on the auction sites when they come up. if i was going Noveske i would just order a complete rifle and wait for it since you will likely get a better deal than tyring to peice one together at todays prices. |

Lowers
These received a great review in SWAT Magazine's Dec '08 issue. Other personalization options to include your required SBR markings are available. |
