I have a Colt 6400. It does not have a bayo lugged front sight since it was a ban weapon. I want to put a Colt bayo lugged front sight on it.
Question...Can I just aquire a Colt A2 bayo lugged FSB and put it on? At the gunshow yesterday I asked a guy if he had one. I told him what I wanted to do. He said I would probably have to redrill the pin holes for another FSB to work as they are all slightly different. He suggested that I buy a barrel with one on it. Sounds fishy to me. Is this true??? I would like to think that the specs are the same. Discuss.. |
| He was pretty much right on the money. No specs on the holes that hold on the FSB/gas block. A question, why go through all this trouble? What are you going to use a mounted bayonet for? Do you have a bayonet? A big problem to remount a new FSB. ADCO will do it for $75 plus shipping if you really need a bayonet. At least that is what they used to charge....<><....:) |

Well, you have a good point, I just wanted to perform the last item of it's denuetering. It's not that important but something I wanted to do.
I guess you learn something new everyday.
