| Hi I'm new to the forum and had a question. I'm looking to get a standard 20" A2 configuration AR and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the High Standard line? I'm looking to stay in the $1000 range and if you guys have any other suggestions let me know, I would appreciate it. |

I visited the HSA factory in Houston twice last week.
Without having fired the weapon, I can tell you that the fit, finish, and QC of their ARs is top notch. They don't park under the FSB or stake their castle nuts, but carrier key staking is consistent. IMO, everything else is comparable to most other ARs I've handled. I've read that some people compare HSA weapons to the S&W M&P. HSA is also a small batch contractor of select-fire weapons for foreign gov'ts. They own the Interarms name, and are experienced importers, manufacturers, and exporters. My HSA carbine is on order. With the exception of heavy trigger complaints, all the research I've done on these rifles is positive. From what I saw of the individual local, state, and fed LE orders alone, they'll be busy for quite a while. FYI, unless you order otherwise, all guns come with unlined chrome moly barrels and commercial 6 position buffer tubes. |
