I recently built a Del-ton kit using their 16" mid-length upper mated to a Double-star lower.  Everything is working fine, except for the iron sites.  The upper is a flat-top onto which I've installed the removable carry handle.  The front site the standard A2 FSB (not sure if it's F or not).  They problem is that to get the sight anywhere close to POI I'm having to lower the front site post down all the way into the FSB so that just a little nubbin sticks out.  After getting frustrated at the range, I even got a laser boresight and it's showing the same thing.  Windage is spot on with a couple clicks left; it's just the elevation that's giving me problems.  I was wondering if any else had a similar problem with some possible solutions.  Is there any way that the fact that it's a midlength kit mess with the sight alignment (I can't really see how).  Thanks for your help!

What distance are you trying to sight it in at??
Is your rear sight turned to the lowest setting??

I was sighting in at 25yds.  My rear sight was at the "zero" mark which is two (double) clicks up from lowest.

I have the same upper with carry handle and my front sight is fine at 50 yards. Try adjusting for 50yds because the sight would have to come up for that. If that doesn't help call del-ton. Mark

It sounds like you have a commercial spec carry handle and need an USGI spec.  Bravo Company USA sells the USGI version.

I measured my rear handle and it does appear to be the "Bushmaster" type.  I'll give Del-ton a call Monday and see about switching it out.  Thanks a lot for your help.
