OK SPR=special purpose rifle right?  Is this refering to an AR configured as a "sniper rifle"?  I see alot of rifles on here set up as a "sniper" weapon but what is the desired length 18" or 20"?
For a 20" weapon, if I want a low profile gas block and a rail to cover it what are my options?
can I see some pics to get some ideas?

Here is a minimalist SPR.

A2 stock, 20" Govt, DD Omega rails.

All she needs to dress her up is a glass and Grip-pod.

Orginally SPR stood for Special Purpose Reciever (extra upper for observer's M4A1 in a target rich enviroment) before Crane came back and said we have these extra M16A1 lowers avaible.  Then complete rifles were built.

Steve Austin firing a SPR in Badhdad Dec 03'.  It is equipped with a PVS-17 night scope and suppressor.

Is the pvs-17 a daytime/nighttime optic?

Generally a night optic however there is the lens cover that allows it to be used during daylight hours.
