i have a quick question. my front sight doesn't have a bayonet lug on it, and i was going to maybe replace it with a sight that does. however my "flash hider" (which doesn't act as a flash hider, it just looks like one but its actually part of the barrel) does NOT remove from the barrel, or i'm at least 99% sure it doesn't.
so i ask you, is there any way to replace the front sight if the flash hider interface wont come off? |

Your fake flash hider is pinned on if the barrel is less than 16" long and will not come off without some serious and delicate dremel or grinding work. Leave it alone, do you really need a bayonet? I would buy a few pistols before a bayonet. But if you must for looks or whatever, you can do it yourself, just be careful to not damage the threads when grinding off the old suppressor, then you will need to drill and tap the new suppressor and drill just slightly into the barrel for the new pin to be placed and then braze in the pin or thread in a bolt and dremel off the head, and refinish.
Of course, you will need to a SBR registration at this time, because as soon as you remove the flash hider, your barrel will be under 16" These are obtainable through most class 3 FFL for $200-$400 |
