Since the election, it's hard to find anything in stock.  Try some local dealers, they may have something in stock.  The dealer here I usually buy from said they get shipments in randomly and they don't know what's going to be on them.

Would you guys rather have a RRA 16" flattop or a DPMS 20"  DCM heavy barreled 1-8 twist stainless barrel and carry handle? because im debating a trade

The RRA 16" is more versatile in my opinion.

Class 3 Weapons out of Houston (Listed in the Industry Section) is a large RRA dealer. Their website lists RRA's that are in stock or those coming in soon. Visit the RRA industry forum. There was a post recently about a large dealer receiving RRA inventory.

Dude, I see you are in KY. I am too. You're in luck. Keene's Depot in Bardstown KY has ,oh, about 60 RRA's in stock! He has every model stacked deep. The basic 16" flattops are $950.  He also has LMT's, High Standards ($800 I think), DPMS, Bushmasters, and some Match Target Colt's. Best prices in the country, that I've seen, and it's in your state! Go to www. kygunco.com.

my plans originally were for just having some plain ol fun and to do some coyote/varmint hunting. I wanted to mount a scope on top and the carry handle seams to be a pain but im still indecisive. i paid around $1,100 or $1,200 after tax and have no idea what the trade in would be for the DPMS and the RRA is $950. Sooo guys what do you think i should do?

You can make your money back on the DPMS using Gunbroker, or more, nowadays. If you can get a RRA for $950 right now, BUY IT.......

What configuration is the RRA you are looking at? That will be the determining factor. You can have a whole lot of fun with a DPMS 1:8 heavy barrel. It will also fit the bill for varmints out to a good distance.

A lot of people will bag on DPMS, but they have been around for a long time. They may not meet the criteria for SHTF AR's, but they do build nice stuff.

Stonewall Arms in Winchester, VA had them last weekend; 3 or 4 variants out on the rack, mine came from one in the back.  might be worth a call?

The RRA is i think a 16" without the carbine cutout barrel, hogue grip, flattop receiver, 6 position collapsible stock, fixed front sight and a sweeeet trigger. So with this assault weapon ban coming should i just bite the bullet and pick it up for like $950 before tax??? Would the RRA be as accurate as my DPMS?

I am also looking for a RRA.  Class 3 Weapons in Houston gives the dates each gun was ordered. Is this for real?  Any body have experience ordering from them and if these dates are for real?  Thanks
I will call Monday the other shops that are listed in this thread.
Thank you,
Michael
