I posted another thread about how I picked up two uppers dirt cheap. After closer inspection, I'm not sure exactly what I got, or how much its worth. The following is all the markings and info I have. Any Info is appreciated!

Colt Upper;
20" Barrel is clearly marked C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7
Flat top upper with carry handle, marked C AF
Elevation wheel marked 6/3
Has M4 feed ramps
Has a bolt carrier that is VERY different from my new colt bolt carrier

Unknown Upper;
20" barrel clearly marked E MP 5.56 NATO 1/7
Grey A2 upper (not 100%solid, has pinned on rear sight) with NO MARKINGS on upper
Elevation wheel marked 8/3
Does not have M4 feed ramps, but the barrel looks as if it does
Has no bolt  or carrier
Front sight gas block is marked N (RI) 2

Pic of the Colt marked bolt (bottom) next to a new production colt bolt.. I believe the top bolt which came out of a colt that I bought last year is actually a full auto bolt, and the one I just picked up is an sp-1, which will take a sear with an added block?

Looks like the bottom bolt carrier is a AR-15 the top one is M-16.
The photo of you holding the Colt upper has a M16 bolt carrier also. I think the M16 B/C usually have a C (colt) stamped on them.

the bolt carrier does have a c stamp on it.  The unknown upper has the same barrel markings as the colt, in the same font size and everything, but instead of a "C MP"  it has a "E MP". I'm hoping that the identification of the barrel on the unknown will help with the identification of the reciever. I cant find much online about the E stamped barrel, besides that USGI's have had them.
