So I am considering selling the Colt that I have used for CMP. 20" non H-Bar.

I would want a replacement before it went away.

I am not sure if this is the best forum, so please point me in the right direction.

What manufacturers are making a reasonably priced upper for CMP use?

I am considering the Oly 20" stainless, free floated unit. Any other options?

Also, is everyone using a heavy barrel or do some still use the Government profile?

I am not a serious competitor. Just do it every now and again for fun.

Thanks!

As far as I know, the high power competitors all use the heavy match barrel
RRA makes a nice Competition Service Rifle  if you can find one in stock. Their upper runs about $600 (or at least did)
Also, White Oak Precision and Compass Lake Engineering make some superb uppers.

I think RRA is held is super high regard.

If it were me, I'd buy a White Oak because I have had good luck with their barrels in the past, plus I could probably find one in stock too.
