just wondering if anyone has purchased anything from this company. I was looking at a new upper in the 300 wssm. shilen match grade barrel, float tube, charger handle, magazine, bolt and carrier $849. He says it will fit my r-15 but i thought it would fit the r-25? website www.dtechsuperstore.com
it says on his web site a wssm. he is going to be making i think the 300,338, and 358 all in the wssm, but now that i am looking i see the shells would be impossible to buy i guess i was thinking about the 300 saum or the 300 wsm. i might have to go with the 25 wssm have a buddy that has this round in a bolt rifle says it is a shooter.
I sent him an email asking some questions about his uppers yesterday. I am wanting to get a 243 WSSM upper from him. He said that he was about 5 months out on filling orders right now. Anybody else ordered and got their upper from him? How do you like it and what was your wait time on the upper?
Not sure. I would guess you will have to make your own ammo unless he is planning to load ammo and offer it for sell. The round should fall somewhere around the 308 Win or maybe a little close to the 30-06. I think I would just spend my money on a nice AR 10 instead. In fact I would choose the DPMS 260 Rem over this.

IF you truly want the poop on Mike Milli, go over to predatormasters.com and do a search for his name or his shops name. As said above, the guys rep is STERLING. I know several guys that have rigs from him they shoot bugholes and never fail to go bang when you pull the trigger. I've never heard or read a negative thing about his gear, and I've heard/read a bunch.

I would go with the 25 WSSM rather than the .30 caliber. The problem with the .30 caliber WSSM is that most .30 caliber bullets are too long to fit in the magazine, and the biggest reason to go with the .30 caliber is bullet selection. If you want a larger caliber than the .25 then the .35 WSSM is the way to go since most .35 caliber bullets are short enough to work with the limited OAL requirement of the AR-15 magazine.
Just my two cents, but I'd bet that Dtech will tell you the same thing. |
