My ar has some movement between the upper and lower, from side to side.  Is this normal, a friend has an RRA as well and it has no movement there.  When I first got the gun it had no movement there.  I have only put 3-4 hundred rounds through it.

Any ideas?

A little slop is fine, and nothing really to worry about. If it bugs you that much you can get one of those accuwedges for it.
