I posted this in the Industry forum and I know this isn't exactly a technical topic (until I get the parts) but with all the hoopla I thought people here would be interested...
I just ordered from Essential Arms. Only took 10 minutes of redialing to get through and the guy who answered was very polite. They told me they had everything in stock but it would take about 2 weeks before my order could be shipped because they have a LOT of orders ahead of mine. I ordered 2 black tough coat matched sets: (1) A2 upper and lower and (1) A3 upper and lower. I also order an anodized lower. My total is under $510 after shipping. Prices were the same they have posted here in the industry forum. They do accept credit cards (with a 3% fee added). And shipping was reasonable (I was quoted $17 for shipping to Sumter, SC). Anyone out there trying to order from Essential Arms, KEEP TRYING THEY HAVE UPPERS AND LOWER IN STOCK AT REASONABLE PRICES! |

I didn't ask about LPKs. I don't plan on doing my builds for a little while, I just wanted to get the 'basics' for now.
It doesn't look like they sell LPKs seperately (none listed in their cataloge). Nor does it look like they deal in barrels. You could give them a call, they just might not have anything listed in the catalog yet. |

I placed an order this morning and asked about LPK's. He said they didn't have any in stock but would be getting some *probably* by the time my order ships in 2 weeks. Price quoted was $75, IIRC and he said they come from different suppliers so couldn't give a specific brand they'd be.

I have two black tough coat EA lowers, and they match the black finish on my Stag model 2 very well.

I think I'm going to go with Essential Arms for my first build. I plan on doing on in the Spring, than another in the Summer. I'm pumped! I wouldn't wait to order the lowers if I was you (I didn't). Oh yea, make sure your local FFL dealer signs the license when he gives it to you. I got a call from EA this evening about my dealers FFL, it seems he forgot to sign the document before he gave it to me. When EA got the fax and saw no sig they called to let me know about it so I can get my dealer to sign it tomorrow before it gets sent again. (I'm new to this ordering firearms on the internet thing, I'm learning) |
