I was at Gander Mountain today to pick up a S&W MP-15 standard today, they were getting $1200 for the gun. As they were running my background check, this guy came in to sell a Bushy XM-15 E2S with a Bushnell 3200 Firefly 3-9x40 on the handle w/ a see-through mount. Said he bought it in the fall and his girlfriend said it was her or the gun (he was making a bad choice IMO).
Anyway they offered him $750, and he looked at me and said do you want to buy it. So we walked out to the parking lot and I checked it out. Said he couldn't have any more than 150 rounds through it. Stripped it down quick and it look perfect, BCG showed hardly anything, looked a little dry though. I'm sure I could have gotten it for $900, but since i was prepared to spend $1200 and I felt a little sorry for him having to live with such a woman. I got it for $1000. Having a little buyers remorse because I was interested in the S&W. |

I thought at 1st I was a little harsh - but then I thought harder about it and $800 would have been a generous offer and less would have been good penence for the seller for letting his GF tell him to sell his gun. |

Bought a R-15 couple weeks ago, so that is about it for me in the near future, aside from furnature. This morning I am over any sort of remorse about it. Actually I'm liking it more and more. Sold the scope last night. Cleaned it from top to bottom and it is as close to new as I could ask for. Thanks for the input! |
