I was at Gander Mountain today to pick up a S&W MP-15 standard today, they were getting $1200 for the gun.  As they were running my background check, this guy came in to sell a Bushy XM-15 E2S with a Bushnell 3200 Firefly 3-9x40 on the handle w/ a see-through mount.  Said he bought it in the fall and his girlfriend said it was her or the gun (he was making a bad choice IMO).

Anyway they offered him $750, and he looked at me and said do you want to buy it.  So we walked out to the parking lot and I checked it out.  Said he couldn't have any more than 150 rounds through it.  Stripped it down quick and it look perfect, BCG showed hardly anything, looked a little dry though.

I'm sure I could have gotten it for $900, but since i was prepared to spend $1200 and I felt a little sorry for him having to live with such a woman. I got it for $1000.

Having a little buyers remorse because I was interested in the S&W.

Junk the scope and don't worry about it. Spend the extra $200 on accessories.

Yeah, I have a buyer for the scope already for 200.

Agree good deal, S&W has nothing over a Bushy to make it a brand remorse decision.

I think its a deccent deal- sounds like you saved 200 bucks plus tax plus your selling the scope for 200 so that makes the gun 800 bucks. Big value in my mind theres not a paper trail in some computer bank.

I thought at 1st I was a little harsh - but then I thought harder about it and $800 would have been a generous offer and less would have been good penence for the seller for letting his GF tell him to sell his gun.

Funny thing is his G/F will be gone probably in under 2 months and then he'll have no rifle either...

this is my hand and this is my gun...

Well if you have someone giving you 200 bucks for the scope then call it 800 then.

Plus you can still feel good for giving the guy a fair 1k.

And no paper or tax on it.

so a win all around I say.

If I had your kind of money, it wouldn't make a difference what I paid for it...
Bought a R-15 couple weeks ago, so that is about it for me in the near future, aside from furnature.

This morning I am over any sort of remorse about it.  Actually I'm liking it more and more.  Sold the scope last night.  Cleaned it from top to bottom and it is as close to new as I could ask for.

Thanks for the input!

I was gonna say that $1k was a little high for used, but considering your selling the scope for $200 good deal!!!  I have the same model Bushy and love it!  Now go back and get that M&P too!

I would have offered $800 and went from there.

Wow.  Was he still wearing his dress at the time?
