I am looking for a barrel. . . I want a 16 inch barrel, but I do not know what the difference is between the M4 Carbine Barrel and a mid-length barrel, both being 16 inches. And what would be a nice barrel? Money is not a big deal.

Reading is a big deal! Read everything you can find on this site before your next question.
midlength refers to where the gas port is located in relation to the chamber.

I have read more than I can stomach about barrels. Its just some websites are different than others. Being that the gas port is in different places, dosent that make the handguards different lengths in relation to the barrel. Sorry , for the stupid question.
