i was at my local pawn shop today(class 3 dealer)  and the guy who owns it is pretty knowlegeable about the firearms industry and he was telling me there is a company that is about to release a complete upper in .410   anyone heard of this or is it more like a concept car type of deal?

IIRC, there has been one available overseas for quite some time... just not here.

If true, count me in for one or two.

The one I remember was made in Turkey. I'm not up on import laws to know if such a deadly quail killing device could be imported.

And yes, I'd be interested in one if it were priced like other Turk imported shotguns.

"(P)otentially deadly quail missing" in my case.

Was going through some of my junk the other day and realized that having a supply of 28 gauge wads may be one of the signs of the apocalypse.

FWIW; AFAIK; IMHO; YMMV; yadda, yadda, yadda.

I'd like to see something like that.  That would be *FUN*!  If the price was reasonable I'd figure out a way to get one.

World's deadliest squirrel/quail/rabbit "assault" gun.

Several years ago I picked up 3 cases of .410 shells in a trade. I'd be interested in such an upper just to have a way to get rid of the ammo....

I remember seeing this thing early last year in here. I wanted one then, and I still want one today. That's still bad-ass.

I wish I had never seen this thread...I'm diggin' that thing.  I'd buy one in a heartbeat.  Always wanted a Saiga semi auto but a 410 on the AR platform would be cool.

i think i will go pick up a couple cases of .410 so i can use that same excuse

Thats pretty cool. It would of been nice to have that thing when I was a kid dove and rabbit hunting with my dad, instead of my single shot .410.

.410 shotgun shells are cheap no longer, about ten bucks a box at Wally and more elswhere.I bought lots when ever I saw it clearanced at the low prices over the years so I got a lot stacked for just such a purchase.I almost got a Saiga but it just looked shitty and was heavy to boot in my estimation.Post it when DPMS or one of the other makers put one out

There was mention somewhere of the .410 upper being seen at the SHOT show.

Latest SHOTGUN NEWS has a nice full page color ad for the .410 AR, and it will be imported through the same company that imports the GSG-5 .22lr MP5 clones.

I find it ironic that these rifles can be purchased in the UK but not here.  [>:/]

BTW. I will have an upper when they become available.

also CMMG's 12 ga. that looks to be on a AR10 platform at the shot show.

Ill put myself in line for an upper and mags.

Does it have to have a dedicated lower?  An AR mag is only 2.5" long on the outside.  Do they make short .410 shells specifically for it?
1/19/2009 12:21:06 PM EDT
[#22]
You might want to measure a 410 shell.  IIRC shotgun shells are rated by their open length, so a 2.5 should be something less than that when in the magazine.

Oldpainless did a box of truth on the judge and found them to be pretty much worthless
