I have a Bushmaster carbine that has no bayonet lug or flash hider. I'm pretty sure it is a post ban rifle. I bought it second hand but the time frame at which I bought it makes me think post ban. Is it legal to thread the barrel and put a flash hider on it? Matt

Any recommendations on a decent flash hider? Nothing too exotic.

You could go with a standard A2 flash suppressor, pretty cheap

Two of the best ones are the Smith Enterprises Vortex and the ACC Blackout.  They run about $50.00 to $60.00.
