Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Most of us have.  They make stripped uppers and lowers.  They do not make complete rifles.  The parts they make are very good quality.

Have you tried the search key? Lots of Mega threads around here. A lot of them.

I did.  It came back with one entry for Omega.

Thank God it wasn't Obama

Maybe I don't know how to do a search on this forum but on the other forus I use I have never had an issue searching stuff.

I would have to agree, I have found the search function here not as useful as on other forums.  I usually get zero results for items I know are covered on this site.

I have a Mega (Gator) lower and love it.  They put a lot of time into the finish for the lower receiver.  No flash weld marks, good roll marks, etc...  To be honest I didn't know the companies name was "Mega AR-15", I always hear them mentioned only as Mega.  So maybe this was why you didn't get any hits on the search

It's just Mega.  You're correct.

Mega is a Boeing vendor.  They made precision parts that go into the aerospace industry and then when things slow down, they made Lowers, Uppers, and IIRC, Charging handles.  I have a matched upper lower set, and the fit was perfect until my rifle crossed the 35k mark and now there is just the tiniest bit of play.  I've seen brand new colts with less play.

I am guessing that you are looking at a rifle that is marked Mega on the lower receiver.
If so, then it is one that someone has assembled using a Mega lower receiver. You need to identify the barrel and upper receiver if you are attemting to determine the quality of the rifle.

Mega is our slang for it.  It's actually Mega Machine Shop and their primary business is machining for the aerospace industry (Boeing primarily).   Top notch stuff but long lead times if you don't find it in stock (pretty typical for everyone at the moment).
Cheers,

Mega is good quality, they make uppers, lowers, buffer tubes, charging handles and rail components.
Here is their website:  http://www.megamachineshop.com/ar15.html

Here's my mega build. (just the lower)

They make high quality parts.

AR parts are not their main business.  They are primarily an aerospace machine shop (if I remember correctly).  They make AR parts inbetween other contract runs.

I don't know of anybody who was not pleased with their mega lower.

Love my MEGA build. Would prefer them over anyone else really.

I just love how Carrico'z have them marked up $100 over. Fuk that guy. Got my first one from Ameetec few years ago.
