On the superlight, is the weight savings also in the lower or is it entirely in the upper?

Thanks!

Oh, also, which model is the superlight top?

Or is one stuck lusting for the superlight as a complete package, not sold separately?

If you really want light, build your own:
Carbon 15 Upper
Superlight Barrel
Cav Arms Polymer Lower
= 5 lb 1 oz Total without magazine.

I have a buddy who has a Carbon 15.  I'm not sure how much I care for the carbon feel.  Hence the superlight questions.

bbl only

good call to go w/ a std superlight vs a carbon

I had the same question and called Bushmaster the other day.  The rep on the phone was really helpful and he said the different in weight on the uppers wasn't a huge difference (like .3 lbs. I believe).

Yep, get a Superlight barrel assy and install it on a CavArms lower. Very light carbine.

Well, I only have one m4gery upper, but it's a HBAR instead of a 'standard.'

So I'm trying to find either a superlight upper or a standard, 14.5", bushmaster, flat top. and gosh is it fun shopping these days.
