I was looking at A Colt ar that originaly had a 20 inch barrel that the owner had cut down to 16 inch for a dissipator look. is a change like that going to cause problems with weapon cycling? it still has the full length gas tube, just 4 inches cut off the barrel, recrowned and threaded flash hider.

Id say it is fine. He more than likely opened up the gas port a bit like he should have. Even if he didnt Im sure it will still run fine since it was such a little change.

Reports I've read state issues shooting in colder weather with that configuration.
