[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Handgaurd Question

I'm looking at some different attachment rails to go on the forend of my Armalite. The parts are labeled for either a "standard" handgaurd or a "thick" handgaurd.

How can I tell which one I have?

looks like a standard handguard.

Thats what I figured, but I picked up a Mako 45 degree 2 rail mount the other day and it wont fit around the hand gaurd at all.

All the stuff from mako is from out of the country. Most of their stuff needs minor fitting or they sent the wrong part.
