| So how many here use rail covers? I think it looks really cool to not have them on there, but I've read on here that you could snag gear without them. Does the military use covers on the rifles that have free floats? |
| I took mine off of my M4 (I know it's not free-floated, but it's the only thing I've been issued that came with the things) because I didn't want them to wind up going missing and having to replace them. I never had any trouble except with SNCOs who never needed to use their weapons except on qual day telling me that I'd need the things when, "the barrel gets so hot it starts smoking," and burns through my Nomex gloves. |
