I lost my grip screw when changing my grip. Maybe my son was helping me change it. But anyways i know there 1/4 28tpi but how long i need to make a trip to fastenal. Thanks in advance

Don't get the screw, get a cap screw instead. Much easier to install with a hex head wrench than with a screwdriver.

I cant help but comment that there's a 50/50 benefit to that in my mind.  My dad's AR uses allen keys there which is much easier to work with like you said, but with every screw being flathead ( like my dpms) you can get by with one less tool in your range box.  (im sure someone here feels like a flathead that fits the grip screw is NOT ok to use (too small) on the screw that connects the buffer and buttstock, but i think its ok for most of us)
