I have always heard that a hot barrel is bad for accuracy...  I have a Bushmaster HBAR and a LMT M4 14.5" with the military profile that is skinny under the handguard.  Seems like the skinny profile would be bad for continuous firing and would get much hotter than the HBAR would.  But I guess if its good enough for the military full auto and such it must not make much difference.  How hot can the barrel get without damigang it or shortining the barrel life span?

Thanks Again !!!

Every shot damages it and reduces accuracy by making the steel more flexible.  An M4 does not need the level of accuracy that makes this very important IMO.
