I was wondering, if I order an AR and pay in full and the delivery date is several months off, what happens if a ban is imposed before it is delivered?  Am I still entitled to own it since it was already purchased?  Does it depend on how much stock exists with pre ban lowers and can the company continue to manufacture weapons with that stock?  Or am I just screwed and have to get a refund?

There is no logical way to answer this question. If we get another AW ban, who knows how it will read?

The gun industry will be out a fair bit from refunding people money. They are trying their hardest to get product out in time to meet the obamanation.

They said it could be Febuary at the earliest and possibly this spring before it would arrive

Repeat..There will not be any kind of ban before Spring, if ever. There are other more pressing issues (like the economy going to hell) to occupy Congress' time in the immediate future.

It takes some effort, but you can find just about any configuration you want with a little effort and some assembly of components. Not much upside in locking your cash up in an order for an unknown amount of time, ban or not. The key right now is that if you see what you want in stock, buy it right then... it won't be in stock long.

I was told during the last ban all manufactured items as long as they were build before the date the ban went into effect were eligable to be sold but nothingbuilt after that date. As stated earlier, no one really knows or has a way of predicting the way a new ban may look if it happens. I would do what ever it is you are doing quickly. The sooner the ball is rolling the better. I believe it was mentioned if you find a stock item, provided it is reasonably priced, you probably should pick it up.
