hello I am new to this site and joined because I am thinking about buying an AR. Here's the deal, recently I have become fascinated with AR-15. So I have been looking to purchase one. I would like to use it for coyotes and other varmints if I am fortunate enough to make it out west where I can use it. I looked at one today and before I go and make a quick purchase I figured I would run it by you guys and get some opinions. I would change the scope but this is what comes with. Here it is:
Bushmaster XM E2S .223
Flat Top with Removable Carrier
4X20 Scope
1 Turn in 9"
A2 Trap Door Buttstock
4-30 Round Magazines
Clip Loader & Cleaning Kit
Tactical Case

Looks like a good deal to me, price wise in today's market.

I think all Bushmasters are 5.56/.223 but you might want to make sure. If it is .223 only for some reason then you will need to be careful about ammo purchases. Should be stamped on the weapon.

If it is stamped .223 be sure not to fire any military surplus or other 5.56 ammo through it. However if it is marked 5.56 you can fire both .223 and 5.56
