I recently purchased a Rock River entry tactical. I am looking online at purchasing a Magpull CTR stock. Question is... for my rifle do I have commercial or mil-spec receiver extension tubes?

I'm pretty sure you have the commercial tube.

Country boy sense tells me that the com. version would be better for butt stock whackin'.

Definitely commercial.  I know; I have the same model; with a CTR.  Was the cheapest upgrade so far and one of my favorites...

Incorrect. The threads do not enguage as fully/are weaker/something like that. Mil-Spec is the way to go, and this has been proven more eloquently before on occasion than I just stated. Staked castle-nut and a mil-spec tube=G2G
