| Have a Colt AR15 A2 HBAR Sporter in mint condition. Been in the safe for years. Have six others AR rifles all flat tops, any reason to keep the Colt as it has large hole front pin.Do not like adapter pins and Daniel Defense large hole flat uppers are black and the Colt is grey. Keeper or not |

Is it a 6601? Does it have flash hider and bayo lug, both, neither? Come with origninal box, mags. manual? More info is needed to give a price reference, that likely won't include recent fluctuations in market pricing.
I bought a 6601 sporter match Hbar (has flash hider, no bayo lug), that was like new, with original box, manual but no mags for $1100 about 9 months ago. I thought I paid a little more than I should, it was through a gun dealer but the gun was in excellent condition - my first range trip with 200 rounds put more wear on it than it had when I bought it. Was a little dissappointed though, as it did have a few sloppy colt assembly monkey marks on it, but nothing out of line with what I've seen here. |

I'd price your rifle north of the $1100 I paid for a 6601 with no bayo lug. I don't know how far north I'd go though, as the HBR profile isn't currently too popular. Personally, I'd sit on the gun, hoping that the impending Obama legislation still permits transfers, but no new similar guns which would drive your AR into the 2k range, based on the last ban.
If you want to sell it now for considerable less, like $1200 or so, put it on the market and email me with pics. |

I have a Colt AR-15A2 Sporter H-Bar (R6600K) with the wick still in the barrel, that has a FH & no bayo lug that I paid $1,400 for in 2003.
It came with the green label box, owners manual & blank warranty card, two 20rd mags (at least 20rd mag bodies, they could have been blocked??), & a NIW Colt 22lr conversion kit. It is unfired & will stay that way, & will also stay in the back of my safe. I would say keep your rifle, & enjoy the rest of the ones you have. |

And a pre-ban should get a pretty darn good chunk. People are paying $500 for lowers.... |
| NIB.........UNFIRED.......WITH ALL FACTORY ACCESSORIES, PAPERS........SLING.....MAGAZINES..........ETC...ETC........THAT IS WHERE ALL THE VALUE IS.........ONCE IT HAS BEEN FIRED...........THE RE-SALE PRICE BEGINS TO TAKE A NOSE DIVE............IF IT WERE UNFIRED AND AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY............I WOULD KEEP AS SAFE QUEEN...........IF IT HAS SOME RANGE TIME............I WOULD SELL AND USE THE MONEY FOR ANOTHER PROJECT........THAT IS JUST MY HO.......... |
