Well, here we go, i ordered a RRA AR 15 a couple of wks ago[3] from a dealer off of GB, and i also ordered a AR M4 ''kit'' off of GB. Both parties have my money, and, a pretty good piece of it i might add. They gave me the idea that this stuff was all IN STOCK, now the one with the M4 stuff say's they will ship when the stuff comes in!! The guy with the RRA AR say's '' call me''. I did that last week, he assured me it was there in his store, and he would do all he could to get it out that day, or the next, Now, it's ''call me, he too has a big fat chunk of my money. This isn't right, don't advertise it if you do not have it! PERIOD! I know, things are going nuts, besides the point, both parties insinuated they had items in stock. Anyone else have this problem?? Rant off. |

That's why i try not buy anything from Gunabroker or any of those auction sites.
I try to deal with the dealers here who have good reputations and are known for good customer service, or I deal directly from the manufacturer. Sometimes it may cost a tad more but to me it's worth it to know I'm not gonna get ripped off or lied to. |

I know it's kinda old-fashioned, but I don't order anything. I have a good, honest gun store that I direct all my business to.
I may pay a little more, but they are very fair on pricing, haven't jacked their prices one cent since the "situation", and so far are eating any increases by their suppliers. I figure if the SHTF, the local dealer will be there (if we support them), but the mail-order joints may just quit answering the phone, which some are doing already. Plus, I like to play with the stuff before I buy it!!!!!!! |
| I don't think dealers have any better idea when things will be in than we do. I ordered (paid in full) a Stag Model 1 on Nov. 14th and my dealer told me he had a shipment "on it's way" that would be there by the following Friday. So I called today to follow up and was told that he talked to Stag that day and they're backed up 8 weeks. He also told me that DPMS is backed up 6 months and RRA is backed up an astonishing 18 MONTHS! Suffice to say I'm not very happy. |
| Well, both ''dealers'' have good scores, i know the huge demand has put them behind, my point, DON'T ADVERTISE WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE!! plain and simple, build your stock, THEN advertise, it will pay dividends to be upfront and not lead people on. I'm sure this will work out, but, it's frustrating for me. What it boils down to is pure and simple GREED, if i don't get in on the band wagon now, i'll loose money type dealing. And, i can use THEIR money not mine. [customers] |

I wish i had a "good honest gun store" that had the things i am looking for. If i was buying a Bushmaster or RRA or DPMS i probably would buy from a local shop.
But unfortunatley that is not usually what i am buying, and my local gun stores don't carry LMT or Noveske so i buy direct usually, or from Rainer or PK or Global Tactical. |

In the future only order from our Equipment Exchange. These guys are good dealers 100% NO BULLSHIT. AR15.com only accepts quality dealers and had been known to boot any shady dealers who slip in.
Howver in defence of your dealer, EVERYBODY is crazy right now. It is taking weeks for some places to ship stuff. One place is saying 14days for items IN STOCK!!! Give them some time, because either way you will be waiting. |

In some cases it is not the dealers who are the issue. I have a rifle on order since early November. The dealer had a shipment coming in (ordered well before the election) due mid December per the mfg. Come mid December only one rifle from the order came in and they were told end of December for the rest. By end of December the mfg was now saying end of January.
So for a rifle that MAY come in at the end of January, the dealer in good faith set an expectation for a mid December delivery. A dealer implying that they have existing stock when they KNOW they don't is wrong, but for all the other ordering hassles the dealers are just as much of a victim to low supply as everyone else. |

Personal friend of mine (who cares? y'all don't know me right?) sells on Gunbroker as *candu*. He is a great individual and a great American...hard working and conscientious. He has RRA complete rifles in stock (stacks of them, last I saw) and accepts credit cards if needed. He hails from a small farming community in N. Illinois and is a class II manufacturer - website: Rat Worx
I'm passing this information along for anyone who wants a *pleasurable* Gunbroker experience with good people. |
