I bought my LE6920 from Code 4.  No problems at all.  I paid $300 less than what they are going for now though.  I would wait 3-4 weeks and let things settle down.  There are some crazy prices out there right now.

the night after election night, i was actually considering buying a 6920, then i saw how much prices jumped. Hell no im not paying 15 when not 1 or 2 days before i could of paid 12. I'd rather just go LMT for that price. The most i'd pay right now would be 13.

At the gunshow here last weekend they were going for $1699 from the same dealer who sold me mine at $1199 in September!

I was at the local gun shop Friday...It was packed with 1st timer's and Fudds looking at AR's...Owner had 6920's at $1600 and said when this current Colt batch is out distributor told him next batch will be $350-$400 more...Also had Bushmaster M4gery's and Armalite Middy's at $1199...WTF..Owner is a good guy and usually has pretty good deals I just think suppliers and manufacturer'sare hosing people while they can....I thought about adding another 6920 or 6520 until I saw the prices...

I ordered a 6920 from Code 4 the day after the election. The price I got was pretty good (much less than what it is going for right now at Gun Broker). I am waiting for it to come in now. I giess I got lucky on the price.

Has anyone had any dealing with Code 4 before?

I drove out to Clyde's Armory this morning and picked one up for $1399. He's a Colt Wholesaler according to Colt's website.

Last week the my local gunshop had them 1599... and i thought that was a ripoff because the most i'd seen him sell them for was ~1,300.

Went to the gun show this weekend and the lowest I found was mid 1,6xx's up to 1,899.

On the way back home I stopped by the local shop and he's now at 1,8xx.

I actually ordered a 6920 from them the Friday before the election. The entire transaction was smooth and Mike was very easy going and helpful. It arrived less than a week later in perfect condition. Code4 gets a thumbs up from me.

I ordered a 6920 few weeks back from Mike at Code 4, everything went smoothly as it can be, tracking/shipping information was sent the day he had it filled out with FedEx.  Since I got mine the price has jumped easily ~$300-400 from what I paid for it couple weeks ago both locally and on gunbroker, amazing.......

I ordered one before the election, paid with credit card, and got it in with no problem.  I know someone who ordered two, mailed a bank check, and after they got the check, they were trying to tell him there was a one gun limit.  Last I heard, they sent him one, and promised to send the second one out of their next shipment.  He is not in a hurry, so he is cool with it as long as they ship him the second one eventually.

I saw the one they have on Gunbroker tonight, and I think that is why they didn't send him both of his.

I'm just wondering if Colt is going to honor the price at which they were ordered, for any outstanding orders.

Prices might drop, some, but if the new ban comes in to affect, they'll shoot right back up.
Probably even higher. Remember the clinton ban and the prices, and  then the frennzy when
it expired.

I am picking up my 6920 today. I paid $1375 and was glad to get it. I only wish I would have laid my money down back in July when they were $1195 at my local shop. Now only if my 7.62X39 upper would get here from Del-Ton

I ordered my 6920 4 days before the ban expired in 2004.
I had my dealer order it knowing it was illegal when ordered.
By the time it arrived in the mail it was legal, the ban expired that day.
I paid $896 plus $25 shipping "out the door".

I finally got my 6920 from Code 4.  I ordered it the Thursday after the election, but I just got it yesterday because I had to go out of town for 2 weeks.

I was a bit worried after reading posts from all the Colt haters here talking about how crappy the finish would be and how many scratches and dings would be on it.  But mine looks perfect and I can’t wait to take it to the range.

My only regret is I didn’t buy two at the price of $1250 a piece.  Oh well, I am happy just to get one

+1 for Code 4

I ordered an 6721 from him and everything went smoothly. I should have gotten an additional 6920 at the time but I never thought it would get this out of hand this quickly.

I bought my first AR... a 6920 from Code 4 back in 2004 for $1,091.00. He was easy to work with and shipped out fast. I would recommend him as a solid dealer.

I bought a 6920 from Cabela's a year ago, almost to the day, for $1149.  But, I use their credit card and had built up points and used a discount card that they send out to "Club Members" (got one this weekend) that if you spend over $500 you get $100 off your purchases.  Between the points and the card I paid about $475 out of my pocket for the gun.

Hey, look at all those  points you could build up if you went ahead and bought another 6920

Actually I tried to get one from them in May/June and they won't carry Colt anymore.  You may find used ones there but they told me that they had problems with Colt on the accounting side (payables/receivables) and won't buy new ones from them.  I begged them and even offered to pay for it in advance but they refused.  They told me that it wasn't worth buying just one gun.

But you're right, it would rack up the points now!!
