I'd check the Equipment Exchange.
I seem to remember Model 1 sales having a complete upper. I believe Spikes has one as well, but do not quote me on that. EDIT: Are you wanting a conversion kit, or a complete .22 uppper. Your topic and post contradict each other! |

I honestly do not know much about this, can I just replace the block and mags and use the upper I have on my AR now? |

Yes, you can get a complete bolt carrier group that drops right in and uses your existing upper and charging handle. You simply drop that in and use the appropriate magazines. Its not as accurate as a dedicated 1/15 twist upper, but great for practice and range blasting. It is by no means inaccurate. Check the main AR forum on pistol calibers and there are a lot of threads for conversion kits. The kits with one mag from Spikes or CMMG are about $200. Mags are a bit more expensive(~$27) as they are not as high production as standard AR mags. But two trips to the range and you paid for the kit and half a dozen mags. You can also keep all your tactical equipment the same and shoot it at any indoor or outdoor range, and in 30 sec you can change it back to .556 and blast a couple mags of the 'real deal' off if you feel like it. It becomes cheaper to shoot then the range time.

There's quite a few folks past the 15k round mark with them I read somewhere with 1:8 twist it can damage the barrel, do you know if thats true? I have an Armalite M15A4SPR w/1:8 20"HBAR. If it won't hurt my rifle I would love to do the conversion to save some money. |

Anyone know where I can get a complete .22 upper and mags? Ammo prices are becoming rediculas and I have limited money so I figure converting to .22 and keeping my other upper in 5.56 would be for the best until ammo prices drop or the "civil defense force" comes to get my guns. ![]() If you have money: Compass Lake Engineering FWIW; AFAIK; IMHO; YMMV; yadda, yadda, yadda. Regards, Ed Mann [email protected] Bobby Bowden is doing a fine job - just leave him alone.

I'll probably go with a CMMG. |
| Yeah I think I will go with the spike's tactical. Also does anyone know if having a muzzle break will effect the function? Since I live in a ban state I have a fixed muzzle break, just want to make sure that will not screw with the function if I convert to .22LR. |
