| i just got my m&p 15t from smith &wesson because it was auto firing. i inserted a magazine and pulled on the charge handle and released it but the bolt locked back and the handle didn't slam forward. i pushed it forward and had to hit the catch release for the bolt to close forward. they supposedly did a trigger job and test fired it but there is no way they test fired it or they would have noticed this problem. what do u guys think. i'm calling them on monday |

When you insert an empty mag, and pull the CH to the rear, the mag follower under power from the mag spring, pushes up on the bolt catch. The bolt catch then locks the bolt to the rear.
If you then hit the bolt catch button and hold it down, you can ride the bolt forward back into battery, latching the CH. Normal operation. |

Also do you shoot with this guy?

soryy for being a noob and seeking some help thanks anyway folks Nothing wrong with asking questions. We were all there at one point in our lives. I do suggest you download and read the operators manual. Get familiar with the operation of your weapon. http://www.ar15.com/content/index.html#manuals |
