[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt MT6731 Chamber, which is it???

My son just bought a Colt MT6731 Match Target Completion HBARll 16", and the receiver says 223 Rem, and the barrel says 5.56 NATO 1/9 . I have also read that these rifles had a .223 Rem chamber. So, which is it?
