So I just recently acquired a new BUIS and I still have the normal A shape front post. I was trying to zero it in couple of days ago and I seem to be having trouble with it. The grouping right now are still high and I've been raising my front post higher and now it has gotten to the point that it seems like it is almost going to come out and it still kind of high. Don't get me wrong the groupings have come closer to center mass but it's still pretty high. I not sure what to do or if I'm doing anything wrong and some advise is greatly needed.

There are at least two different front sight bases one is called an “F” marked front sight and the other is not. The F-marked is taller but only by a small amount. From what I have seen if you have a non-F-marked one the front sight will be out a good bit to get it zeroed. I am sure some one else will have the measurements for you and possibly a solution. Good luck….

Do you have a F stamped (.40 higher) or standard height FSB with a carbine length gas system? If you have the latter then you may need a taller (.40) front sight post.

What range are you zeroing at?
