I need to tie up some loose uppers and dont know if i should just save the extra funds for the m4 upper, will i be at any disadvantage if i buy the less expensive of the 2? Thanks for any input.

The 2nd one is a quarter pound or so lighter forward of the front sight base.  It has a thinner barrel and lacks the side sling adapter.

no, the lightwieght is not chromelined (you can add it for $45 in the drop-down menu) but other than that its gonna perform the same.  I'd actually prefer the lightwieght, but add CL for ease of cleaning and longer barrel life.
