Can an AR15 be built in 7.62x39 caliber?  If so where would the parts be available?

Thanks

Yes.

There are a few vendors that have parts....DPMS is one that comes to mind

Thanks for the responses.  I have an SKS and would like to stay with one type of ammo if possible.  Is it easy to get 7.62x39 magazines for an AR in this caliber?

This has been the long-pole-in-the-tent.

Colt built these but never made a magazine that would reliably feed over 5 rounds.

There are some old frankenmags out there - modified AK-47 mags.

A company called CProducts, who is a site sponsor, has been developing mags for 7.62x39 in the AR platform.  Here's a thread to follow:

New CProducts 30 rd 7.62x39 working 100%?

Thanks...it sounds like I might be better off going with the .223 and possibly save myself some headaches in the long run.
