Is there a link or can someone show me some good picts of how the trigger and hammer set in their AR? Long story short I'm a newb and I got a new 2 stage in today and I don't know how to put it in. |

I just did that on Sat. Dont have pics but a very easy swap. Your trigger should of come with instructions and it is simple to follow. Depending on what 2 stage you went with here is a simple way. Remove hammer pin and remove the hammer. Now you have to remove the saftey selector. The only thing I would suggest is just loosen the pistol grip just enough to release pressure from the saftey select pin. As opposed to removing it completely then just slide the saftey out. But you can remove the grip completely be sure to watch the thin spring located in the grip. Now remove your trigger pin and remove the trigger and componets. They key is to install all pieces with the springs pressing the right points. If you did this wrong it wont work and just take out and turn springs over. Install your trigger and pin, making sure there is spring pressure and you should be able to drop in and check with out installing the saftey. If it works and moves correctly then install your saftey and tighten the grip back on. Now install your hammer group and pin, again making sure there is spring pressure. Once your lower is back togther you must function test it several time by cocking it back and ride the trigger forword. Then test a partail pull of the trigger and you will see it go through the first stage to the second stage stop you pull and release slowly and trigger should return to stage one easily. If theres no problem then activate safety and ensure you can not fire the trigger or push the hammer free from the trigger. Then go test fire Rember most aftermarket triggers have a break in period and will feel better after a couple 100+/- rounds have gone through. Hope this helps and good luck |
Thanks for the link Next question. I bought the RRA 4 lb 2 stage trig assembly. Do I put my old disconnector back in? It doesn't look like it will fit. |
