I have just performed maintenance on my trigger for the first time. My question is, is there any certain way those pins should be placed back in? I noticed there is in a pattern on them, but I dont know which way they fell out. Please help! Thanks, Matt |

Insert the trigger and hammer pins in the right side of the receiver (side with mag release button) with the longest ungrooved end first. If you do it this way the hammer spring will always fit in the trigger pin groove and your pin won't walk. Not sure you really have to do this with the hammer pin as I think the middle groove would still fit in the j-pin , but I always do both the same way to make it easy. |

Check the pictures in the assembly manual on this website. They will show you the way. The pins will not wiggle out. My understanding is that the anti-rotation pins are only necessary if you are shooting large volumes and there is a chance of the pins rotating and wearing the holes larger... I have read on this site that unless your firearm is a full-auto your pins won't rotate much and your lower isn't valuable enough to need that kind of protection. But I'm just repeating what I've read. |
