Does anyone here have any experience with this load and conversion? If so, what do you think? Saw something from Cardinal Armory about it. |

Cardinal Arms (formerly KoTonics) has nice fit & finish on their barrels. Plenty of metal around the bore. Mid-length gas port for reliability. 1:11 inch twists may be better than the 1:10 for hot load. Havent chronographed the MV with a 16" barrel, but is supposed to be on par with the 18". You will be happy with any Cardinal Arms barrel. Another upside is that it's a lot lighter than my PTR-91 or Garandthought about being. You can get brass, reloading dies, bullets & accessories through Midway USA. Loading data for the 6.8 SPC can be found easily enough by just doing a web search. Some mainstream ammo manufacturers are publishing data as well. With Ruger producing a Mini-14 in 6.8 SPC, I bet you it will be here to stay around. |
