If you just want to use it for shooting etc.. dpms it will save you a couple hundred bucks if you want good quality ar bushmaster

I don't have either one but just from handling them I would go with bushmaster over dpms. With the ones I've seen side by side the bushmaster seems to always have a better fit and finish than dpms. Again, this is just my opinion.

This is the correct answer but........what is the intended purpose of the rifle? For range shooting and no hard use the Bushmaster will be fine. If you plan on shooting heavier weight bullets (over 62 grain) the 1:9 twist on the Bushmaster would not be ideal. The 1:7 on the Colt LMT would be better. The DPMS is all together kinda junky. The Bushmaster is better and actually has a really nice barrel.
