| Say you've got time and money invested in "some company" reconized by the industry and this forum waiting for parts to arrive, how long do you wait before "saying" WTF. This company is not on our "industry" board, however everyone likes their products and service. I don't like to use the internet to bitch until a company has been given a chance to fix the problem, however, after four weeks of being told it's in stock and will ship next week, I'm loosing my cool. Tommow will be the last straw and I'll vent, just wondering what everyone else feels. Bob. |

I guess it all depends on your purpose, need, and other viable options. Another thing to consider is where you are purchasing the item from. For example, I LOVE Magpul products. I dont have a single bad or negative thing to say about them, and I dont see myself ever buying the specific Magpul products I buy from anyone else. With that said, I dont order from Magpul. It took a couple of attempts before I realized the obvious. Most companies send a large majority of their product out to their stocking dealers. I can order rail panels, grips, etc etc from Magpul and it takes several weeks longer (usually) than it does from one of their dealers. Another thing is peoples personality. Some people dont mind waiting, some people dont mind poor customer service. The only way I put up with poor customer service is if there is not a better alternative and to have that specific product, I have to put up with it. You are obviously irritated and unhappy already, without even receiving the product (which without naming any specifics I would be interested in knowing what kind of parts we are talking about - maybe we can offer some just as good/better alternatives). If there isnt somewhere to get the item faster, I would say you have already made up your mind.....and I dont blame you if you have been lied to basically. |

Probably most of the AR owners on this board have been through some variation of your experience. I don't really know what to tell you, except that as time has gone on I've become less and less tolerant of the they're-not-being-straight-with-me waits. It doesn't bother me as much if I know in advance that it could be quite a while until I get the product. But the "I can get it to you in two weeks" followed by five months of wondering is a pisser (just one example from my real life firearm purchasing past). |

Like I said, you are already not happy. I dont know much about gas blocks, but as far as the folding front, I know there are several places to purchase the top of the line BUIS. We are here to help. Tell us what you want and what you would be open to suggestions on, and there will be guys who can tell you where to call and have it on your door step. With those two items, there is no need to put up with poor customer service. |
