Yes - they are called silencers.

Only thing "quieter" would be a longer barrel, smaller caliber, or better ear protection.

What do you have now?
If it is a muzzle Brake (like the AK type), then yes, any flash suppressor will be better. If that is what you're running now, pretty much all the same IMO.

PULL IT OFF AND RUN WITHOUT IT,that's what I did on my MT6400C B4 I had it threaded for a FS. sand off the finish on the break till you see the pin, drive it out and your GTG. that is how to quiet it down for free .

a full suppressor
that said, most FHs do not re-direct the blast towards the shooter...h/w, brakes and comps tend to do so and that is why they are "louder"

i think come Saturday i will be removing it till i can have it threaded how hard is it to remove a barrel?

You could try one of the Levang liniear comps, they direct gas (and noise) away from the shooter. Not the best flash hider though.

send it to Steve at Adco, please do not molest that Colt by removeing the barrel ,you will need to have it threaded anyway ,send him the upper .he can get you squared away .he is fast, friendly and priced right .

I have a 6400 that had that brake. WOW is it obnoxious! It does a good job of braking but it is nasty to anybody next to you.
I had it threaded and a A2 installed. Slightly quieter, but I think it is relative.
