I just took the CTR off my rifle in place for an A2 stock. I had a heavy buffer, what is the main weight difference between the buffers? Also, what is "better"? thanks.

If you placed an A2 fixed stock on your rifle then you will need a rifle buffer. You can't use the previously installed H buffer & vice-versa.

yes, i know that, i was wondering what the difference in weight between the two is.

also, i am wondering what makes a heavy buffer 'better' than a normal buffer.

You can use an H buffer in a rifle tube but you need a 9mm spacer.

Then you have to ask yourself "Why do I want to do this?"

The rifle buffer is heavier as noted above. The rifle will run smoother and have less felt recoil while using the rifle buffer(or a 9mm buffer in a carbine tube. They are about the same wieght.)
