I am almost done with my first build , Superior arms lower flat top upper 16" ss , w , 1/8 twist barrel. Its going to be my first AR with some optics. Now to my question . I am looking for some optics for 100 to 300 , yard range and like to keep it around  350.00$ max . Is this possible at this price for decent optics. Any advice would be apreciated.

for around $350 I've bought a nice used Aimpoint Comp M2 or Eotech 551 or 552 all in nice   shape. Keep your eye on the Equipment Exchange or Ebay, they do show up fairly regularly.BTW, very nice build

A barebones EoTech would be a nice red dot optic to mount onto your new rifle and keep costs down.  I bought one NIB for about $334 from an online vendor.  If you would/could just mount a set of BUIS for now and save your bucks for now, look into gettting maybe a magnified optic like a Trijicon ACOG or a Leupold Mark 4 scope.

Well, first optic that comes to mind would be a DMS-1 from Millett (for that price, can mount it on a LaRue or ADM mount) if you're not as concerned about <100m.

If external turrets aren't a must, then either a Leupold Vx or TrijiconAccupoint aren't bad looking starts.
Burris and Bushnell also have some great offerings at that price.

I'd decide on zoom levels needed (1.2-4/5x, or a 2-7/3-9x with slightly larger objectivel lens)

Wha tkind of shooting do you plan on doing at 100-300yds.  If you are hunting predators of P-dogs then a magnified optic might be nice.  For the money I like the Nikon Buckmaster scopes.  Under $300, good glass, and well made scopes.

IF you are looking for something more for plinking or quick target aquisition, then a red-dot or holographic sight will be good, but you get kind of limited in how accurate they can be.  A 4 moa dot at 300 yds is covering 12".   A 2 MOA dot is kind of hard to pick up really quickly in daylight for your closer range shots.

The Eotech is nice because it has a 1 MOA dot surrounded by an easy to acquire 65 MOA circle.

ACOG aren't really in your given price range.

A nice badass red-dot for *close* to your budget would be an Aimpoint C3.

If you're going for distances a little further out, and if you can double your budget, you might want to look at the Trijicon ACOGs or perhaps one of their TR-21s
