[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about FF rails....

I plan an putting a FF on my 16" M4 Carbine. I'm planning to go with a rifle length rail so I am going to cut down the FSB. My question is, what rails will NOT fit over the cut FSB. I looked through many pages of the M4 picture thread and could not find what I was looking for.

I would think most all the current FF HG’s out on the market would fit over a cut-down FSB. The nice thing with the cut-down FSB is you can taper and shape it as you wish.

I think pretty much all FFHGs will clear the cut down FSB. Like Quib said, by cutting the FSB down, you can custom mold it to a certain look. I KNOW there's a topic about cutting down a FSB. Had pics and everything... Any body got that link? It'll probably help a great bit...
