I'm considering purchasing a Colt 6920 and want to make it "tacticool".  It will be my first so I have questions.
1) If I want to replace the handguard with a rail system, what size, and brands should I consider? ( I like light weight and narrow)
2) When removing the carrying handle, will the top have the standard picatinny rail system left in it's place for adding say.....an Eotech 553?
3) Is the rear sight built into the carry handle or does it remain on the weapon after removing the carry handle?  If remains, how is it, would it adversely effect the Eotech's view?  Could I replace it with a different rear sight, would I want to?  Would I need something like a LaRue mount to get it into the lower 3rd?
4)Is the flash surpressor interchangeable?

Sorry about the noob questions
Thanks for your help

Your better option would be a LMT fixed rear site (per Larry Vickers).  It will also offer absolute co-witness with the EOTech, as long as the EOTech is mounted directly to your flat-top.

I've read great things about the DD Omega.  What size would I need and how would it effect the weight of the weapon?

For the 6920 you're gonna want the 7" Omega. It's going to be a little heavier than the plastic handguards but it's worth it if you want to mount a lot of accessories. Best thing about it is you don't have to make any permanent changes to your upper to install it. You can always put the plastic handguards back on if you ever need to.

I have the 7" DD Omega. I like it a lot. Lightweight and solid.
