[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which mount?

I am looking at getting an AimPoint Comp ML3 with a LaRue mount and I was wondering if I should get the cantilever mount or stick with the regular mount. I plan on purchasing the magnifier to go with it later. I have a flip rear sight on the upper.

You can always mount the cantilever further back like the regular mount, but not the other way around...

With the magnifier behind it I'd say go with the cantilevered version. That way you will have more room to put the 3X where It fits you best. As GhostRing said, you will have more options with the further forward placement, and If you dont like it, just move her back closer.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll be getting the cantilever mount then, makes more sense to me after hearing everything.
