Currently using the KAC screw-on bipod mount - considering a QD mount.  Anybody who has used both have suggestions?  I am looking for light weight and sturdy......  The KAC is sturdy enough - is there anything lighter?  And if you have the weights of different models available - I'd appreciate them.

thanks

I use the YHM screw on mount.  It works great for me, I've never needed to QD anything from my AR before but thats always a nifty option.  From what I have read, Larue is the way to go for QD bipod mount.  I hope this was something along the lines you were looking for.
YHM weighs basically nothing.

I also use the YHM screw-on mount.  Very light and a nice product.  I love LaRue stuff, and if I was going to get anything QD, it would be LaRue.  But for a bipod, I don't see the need.  I mean, unless you are using one on a CQB rifle (slim chance), you usually don't keep taking it off all the time.  My long range guns are the only ones with bipods anyway.   With my Harris bipod, I just unscrew the knob a few turns and it is off really quickly anyway.

Good luck and let us know what you wind up with.
