Hey All,

I am wondering if a KAC QD FS can be permanently attached to a 14.5" upper to get an OAL of 16"?

If so, what parts/washers were used to do so?

Thanks for the help. I would really like to do this as it would be a near replica of the rifle I carried over in Iraq on the first trip.

Yes it can, contact sr-47 on the site. He works at KAC and has done this for others and the photos look fantastic. I want to send him one of mine to do the same thing.

I thought that I have seen others on here before, and the search really did not pull anything up.

I assume that it needs a couple of extra washers, but not quite sure....

Not a sales pitch, but this thread from MSTN states a crush washer should do it.

AR15barrels did mine. Just used a crush washer and a shim or two

sr-47 does it with a custom machined spacer instead of a crush washer.

Belmont31R has an AR with a KAC FS installed by sr-47, hopefully he will see this thread and post.
