i understand the obvious need for the opening for the mag release and bolt hold open, but what are the other cuts for in the magwell? my mags are all square w/ the exception of the little bump @ the mag catch....

maybe have to be there to allow for tooling to get where it needs to during final machining.

my guess? clearance cuts for mag dimensional variations and dirt/sand/mud/etc.
